The arena has been used several times for college hockey championships in the United States. It hosted the 1970, 1984 and 1988 NCAA Men's Frozen Four, and hosted the 2007 Women's Frozen Four. From 1994 to 2002, the arena hosted the ECAC Hockey League championships in March.
