| abstract | - The Unggoy Assault Ship (UNSC hull designation: UAS), known to the Unggoy as the Spear Machine, is a multifunctional vessel employed by the Balaho Protectorate. Designed by a core of researchers including Humans, Sangheili, and Unggoy, it was intended to form the backbone of the Unggoy fleet. It is relatively fragile and ill-armed; and as such, its role is usually to provide support and/or cover fire for ships of allied navies. Its larger counterpart, the Unggoy Assault Cruiser, proved to be slightly more effective in battle when well-equipped, but, despite massive efforts by the UNSC and 'Vadam Dynasty to re-educate the Unggoy populace, crews were often inadequately minded. As a result, said larger cousin rarely saw much activity.
