  • Glenn Thomas Carano (born November 18, 1955) is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League who played for the Dallas Cowboys for seven seasons. He was a back-up the entire time behind hall-of-famer Roger Staubach and later Danny White and started only one game. Carano was born in San Pedro, California, of part Italian descent. His father, Donald L. "Don" Carano, is a hotelier in Nevada. He played with the Pittsburgh Maulers of the United States Football League. He later served on the Nevada Athletic Commission. Carano's daughter, Gina Carano, is a television personality, retired mixed martial arts fighter, actress and fitness model.
