Mikaela told Sam she was moving to California, and to call him when things cooled off. Mikaela got on the plane, and Sam traveled after her to California with the Autobots. Sam and Bumblebee snuck in, and saw Mikaela dating someone else. Sam walked away, discouraged, and caught the next plane to NY. The Autobots hopped into action, but were quickly defeated and captured. Optimus was sentenced to death, while Bumblebee and the rest of the Autobots were sent to work until they rust. Back in NY, NEST leader William Lennox convinced Sam to go back to Cali, and save Mikaela. Sam, along with NEST members William Lennox, Leo Spitz, Seymour Simmons, and more, Sam begins his journey to California with a couple of unwanted stowaways. Dylan Gould is revived by Galvatron, and Sam arrives. Sam finds Bumblebee chained up, as he rusted rather quickly. Sam cuts the chains, and uses oil to fix up Bumblebee. They set the others free, and go to save Optimus. NEST members grab Mikaela, and realize she's been brainwashed. They show her pictures of home and familiar memories, and she snaps out of it. Optimus is about to have his head cut off, but Bumblebee and the Autobots tear up the place and defeat most of the Decepticons. Optimus is freed, and they head for San Francisco. Dylan is talking to Galvatron when they bust in and arrest Dylan, while Optimus fights Galvatron. Optimus and Galvatron fall out the window, to the sea below. Galvatron's head is cut off, and Optimus resurfaces to his human friends. NEST gets a call about a giant robot attacking Japan, and they head to Tokyo. It turns out Megatron was still alive all along, but was on a secret mission. Optimus and Bumblebee fight Megatron, while Sam and Mikaela head after the escaped Dylan Gould. Sam pushes Dylan off the building to the streets, killing Dylan Gould. Megatron is distracted by Dylan's death, and his head is cut off. Sam proposes to Mikaela, and they decide to have their wedding in California.
