Ecuyer played in the CFL (Canadian Football League) from 1959 to 1967. He played with the Edmonton Eskimos from 1959 to 1965, Toronto Argonauts in 1966, and the Montreal Alouettes in 1967. Ecuyer won a West All-Star at linebacker in his rookie season in 1959. He later became a vice president of investments with Prudential Securities.
