  • When inactive the wicked seal takes the appearance of a simple black tattoo around the user's wrist, which resembles a ring of barbed wire. When activated the barbed wire design spreads across the user's hand and onto a target in direct contact. As the seal design travels across the victim's body it channels chakra throughout into the target's tenketsu and through their chakra pathway system. This causes the individual to lose the ability to physically move throughout the affected region, due to the fact that the seal's chakra overstimulates the victim's nearby nerves. Chakra manipulation throughout this region is inhibited as well, since the seal's own chakra effectively clogs the victim's chakra pathway system. Furthermore, as the seal infects the opponent it delivers a blinding level of pain, which is intensified if the target attempts to resist. In some cases the pain is significant enough to force a loss of consciousness. In contrast to the incredible potential of the seal, it can be countered by the victim if they are able to react in time. The most efficient way to combat the seal is to first break off contact with the seal's user, this will prevent the infected area from continually expanding. Next, the inflicted individual must channel their chakra toward the affected area and forcefully expel the enemies seal from their body. This process is extremely painful, necessitates pristine chakra control, and requires the ability to build up a high enough concentration of chakra to overpower the seal. In fact, it is quite similar to breaking an illusion through chakra control, but on a much higher level. The amount of energy required to expel the seal rises significantly as the seal affects a greater portion of the individual. Additionally, if the wicked seal infects a victim's entire chakra pathway, they will be completely immobilized and unable to manipulate their chakra whatsoever. As such, a completed seal cannot be undone by the victim, though it could be potentially removed by another individual. While the Kyōin user can remove the seal through simple contact, harmlessly reabsorbing the tattoo design, other fūinjutsu users must take much more care in breaking the seal. If the technique is removed haphazardly, the victim's chakra pathway system can be permanently damaged. It should be noted that this technique is only of the few fūinjutsu that Kyōshi Takamori does not implement with his Ceremonial Sword of Sealing, though the reasoning behind this is unknown. He's also developed his own personal variant of this kyōinjutsu that incorporates shadow clones as a medium.
