  • ♪ Blocks (pronounced Note Blocks or Music Blocks) are a type of Block in the Mario series that first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3. They are quite bouncy and can include sometimes include power-ups such as Super Leaves. The Pink ♪ Blocks allow Mario to leap into Coin Heaven. However, in Super Mario 3D Land, the ♪ Blocks that bring Mario and/or Luigi into Coin Heaven are rainbow colored.
  • Note Blocks are Redstone-related Blocks that were added in Update 0.13.0. When tapped, they produce a different colored musical note particle effect above them and produce a sound.
  • The Note Block is a block that can produce single music notes when hit or powered by redstone. The type of sound produced is dependent on the block immediately below the note block itself. If it's is on any stone related block it will make a bass drum-like sound. If it is any kind of glass, it will be a drumstick like sound. If it is on top of sand or gravel, it will make a snaredrum sound. If it is on any kind of wood or wooden planks, it will make a Bass Guitar sound. Anything else will produce a piano sound. In 1.12 (upcoming), a Bone Block will produce a xylophone, a Block of Gold will produce a bell, Clay Block, a flute; Packed Ice, a chime; and Wool, a guitar. Right clicking it changes the pitch by one semitone, yet activating it with redstone won't change the pitch. Note blocks can
