Hancock and Lant moved to new premises on Queens Road but trade has never been the same since they moved there. The firm ceased trading on Monday 13 June 2011. Director Jeremy Lant was the third generation of his family to run the furniture store which was well-known and loved for supplying quality beds, sofas and occasional furniture.
