  • Dan arrives home and admits to Bob that he spent the night with Chas. He is concerned that he has lost a friend, as he automatically assumes she will not be speaking to him again. At the same time, Priya realises who Chas spent the night with and taunts her. Chas's attention is elsewhere as she watches Cameron kiss Debbie. Annoyed, she turns her gaze back to Priya and warns her to stop mocking. Soon afterwards, Chas visits Dan. He assumes she would think spending the night with him was a mistake, so doesn't hesitate in saying so. He explains that he still wants to be friends and Chas is unreadable, taking in Dan's thoughts. Later in The Woolpack, Chas kisses Dan, before shocking everyone by announcing that he is her boyfriend. She looks at Cameron for a reaction, but he just stares at her.

Meanwhile, Brenda is fuming when Pollard invites Val to Kerry's planned meal. As the gathering begins, Brenda feels left out as Val pushes her way to sit next to Pollard. Throughout the meal, Val attempts to reminisce about good times with Pollard, and Brenda is furious when Pollard entertains her comments. When Kerry applauds Brenda for putting up with their behaviour, Brenda is livid that she has picked up on what is happening. Storming back inside, Brenda confronts Val - telling her to leave. However, in the end, it's Brenda who leaves upset. Elsewhere, Alex is awkward as Moira and Adam return from visiting the place where John's ashes were scattered, while Rhona wonders what would happen if Ashley knew about Laurel and Marlon - but Laurel is determined to take the power from Paddy and tell Ashley herself.
