- W latach 1995-2002 istniał black metalowy szwedzki zespół muzyczny o nazwie Silencer. Powstał z inicjatywy gitarzysty i basisty Leere. Po krótkim czasie dołączył najbardziej charakterystyczny i kontrowersyjny wokalista i frontman Nattramn (Mikael Nisson). Sesyjnie udzielali się perkusiści Steve Wolz i Jonas Mattson.
- A Silencer is a Weapon Mod in Deus Ex: Invisible War. Silencers muffle the sound of a weapon firing. Silencers are by far the most useful mod in the game, as they allow the player to kill enemies from afar without the danger of alerting others, The Silencer can be used effectively on any possible weapon, though it is especially useful on the Sniper Rifle, as the player is vulnerable between shots, and hiding is necessary. Silencers aren't that rare in Invisible War (there are about 6, with the first 4 found in Seattle).
- An attachable item that appears in all iterations of the Jagged Alliance series.
- The Silencer is a level 3 special tower; it attacks not by normal means like most other towers, but by launching ICBM-style nuclear missiles that cause catastrophic explosions capable of destroying most units and heavily damaging the ones that survive. The nuclear missiles has about a screen length's radius; the further units are from the impact point, the less damage they take. They also must be armed manually which cost 11 metal and 1000 energy per second, has global range and can be stopped by Anti Missile Defense systems. The ARM counterpart to the Silencer is the Retaliator.
- The Silencer is the head of a doll, most likely a baby doll. It is found on the last (10) sublevel of the Cavern of Chaos, and is held by the elusive, but extremely aggressive Segmented Crawbster. It is much worth it having to beat such a powerful creature to get such a staggering sum of Image:PokoIcon.pngx670 (666 in the Japanese version), as that is the third highest treasure value (though there are multiple treasures worth Image:PokoIcon.pngx1000). Staring at it long enough makes it possible to see the eyes blink, as the lids will move when the head is tilted (similar to other toy dolls). This will only occur when the head is being carried by Pikmin, or on the screen where the name is first mentioned.
- A Silencer is a weapon add-on that conceals the muzzle flash and loud noise made when a weapon is discharged. In game this changes the flight path and velocity of the bullet as it passes through.

It is much worth it having to beat such a powerful creature to get such a staggering sum of 670 Pokos (666 in the Japanese version), as that is the third-ranked treasure value (though there are multiple treasures worth 1000 Pokos). Staring at it long enough makes it possible to see the eyes blink, as the lids will move when the head is tilted (similar to other toy dolls). This will only occur when the head is being carried by Pikmin, or in the screen where the name is first mentioned.
- Silencer is the thirteenth episode in season four of CSI: Miami.
- Silencers are weapon attachments in Return to Castle Wolfenstein. They can be used with Luger. The Sten and the Snooper rifle also have integrated silencers.
- Silencer was a mutant Toa of Fire who lived on an unnamed island.
- The Silencer is an item that can be equipped in Silent Hill 3. Heather Mason can find the item after breaking down a newly-plastered wall inside the Construction Site. The item can be equipped to the handgun or submachine gun, muffling the sound of the gunfire. This essentially makes it harder for monsters to locate where Heather is, or where the shot came from. It also serves to suppress the muzzle flash, a burst of light that naturally occurs from the end of the barrel after each shot, making it harder still for monsters to direct their attention to Heather. It works well against blind monsters that rely on sound, such as the Missionary.
- Detectives Goren and Eames investigate the murder of an esteemed ear surgeon found slain in his office. During the investigation, Goren and Eames learn the victim had testified in a case involving a controversial cochlear implant and members of the radical deaf community. The detectives soon turn their attention to another doctor who had implanted this electronic device on a baby, who contracted an infection and died as a result of the surgery. Though this doctor has not completely been eliminated as a suspect, he offers an alibi that prompts Goren and to team up with a detective who interprets for the hard of hearing, as they try to get to the bottom of a case in which no one seems willing to communicate with them.
- [Source] The Silencer was a superweapon consisting of a rapidly recharging megalaser that could be mounted on a capital ship. This laser was called a "fleet killer" because it had both the power and the speed of fire to destroy several capital ships in rapid succession. Because of this, it was considered a superweapon by the Sith Empire.
- The Silencer is a weapon attachment that is found on every weapon type in GoldenEye 007 and GoldenEye 007: Reloaded except shotguns.
- File:Q2.png In Quake 2, a Silencer is a powerup that makes all of your weapons completely silent (Even the BFG10k!).
- The Silencer is an attachment in the Crysis games. It completely silences all of the gunfire from a weapon. It trades this for a great increase in damage drop over distances.
- The Silencer in Zero is present on the biohazard 0 TRIAL EDITION disk, and was removed from the game at some point after its manufacture. In the Shinji Mikami design for Resident Evil 4, Leon was also supposed to be able to originally obtain a silencer in Resident Evil 4 but for some reason the silencer was removed from the main game. However, the Silencer was recycled for Wesker's loadout in Resident Evil 4's Mercenaries minigame and appears on his handgun.
- The Silencer is an attachment featured for the first time in Killzone: Shadow Fall. It is a conventional silencer which replaces the flash-hider or muzzle break on any weapon which it is equipped on. The primary benefit of the Silencer attachment is that it prevents the player from showing up on the minimap of the opposing team when firing the weapon which has the Silencer equipped. Other benefits of the Silencer are the reductions it offers to both muzzle flash, and gunshot volume for the weapon with which it is equipped.

- Silencer is a recovering pacifist. Once he lived the quiet traditional life of a non-ninja hydroponic farmer, disavowing violence for any reason. When Decepticons led by Scorponok destroyed his family's farm, his entire world and that way of life destroyed along with it. He is now one of the Autobots best warriors. Silencer and Flintlock try to force the slovenly Landfill to clean regularly, but they avoid him when he forgets, which can leave them all vulnerable in the event of a surprise attack.

bestiarytext | - The silencers are roaming in packs and will hunt down everything which is too loud for their sensitive ears and does not belong to their kin. Of course, only if their victim is smaller or weaker. It is rumoured that they actually communicate with each other. They seem to call other silencers for help or even organise themselves in some way. However, if they are aggravated in any way, they are extremely tough and unpredictable adversaries.

Strategy | - A largely melee-based creature, its most dangerous feature is the Magic Level debuff missile. Mages, especially, might want to avoid hunting these solo. Be careful because their Magic Level debuff coupled with comboes from other monsters can easily kill a level 150. Can be trapped easily by field runes.

When Decepticons led by Scorponok destroyed his family's farm, his entire world and that way of life destroyed along with it. He is now one of the Autobots best warriors. Silencer turns into a noiseless, recoilless proton rifle. As a "double" Targetmaster, Silencer is able to combine with Flintlock to increase the power of his own weapon, or boost the power of Flintlock's stress pistol. It's unclear if Silencer's shoulder-mounted systems are defensive weapons, or part of his recoil-and-sound dampening system. Silencer and Flintlock try to force the slovenly Landfill to clean regularly, but they avoid him when he forgets, which can leave them all vulnerable in the event of a surprise attack.

This attachment prevents gunfire from showing up on enemy minimaps and makes it harder to hear and locate the position of the shooter. It also reduces the muzzle flash of the weapon. As a disadvantage, the Silencer either reduces the range at which weapons do their maximum damage, damage of the weapon as a whole, or the damage done by the weapon at its longest range depending on what weapon the Silencer is used with.

Besitzt Silencer Aghanim's Scepter, wirkt Curse of the Silent global gewirkt und betroffene Helden werden mit Last Word beeinflusst.

Other benefits of the Silencer are the reductions it offers to both muzzle flash, and gunshot volume for the weapon with which it is equipped. The Silencer attachment does not affect the damage of the weapon nor the range in any way. Due to this, it is likely that the weapon still fires full-powered ammunition, whereas most other first-person shooters force the player to use weaker, subsonic ammunition if the player selects a Silencer attachment. The size and shape of the Silencer will vary depending on the weapon which it is equipped with, however, the overall effect remains the same.
