Although they maintained a tetchy relationship, FE-9Q proved an effective guardian for the young boy as he became an enthusiastic and active teenager.

FE-9Q participated in the battle to defend the village, putting his telescoping arms to good use. Although the droid was destroyed during the battle, Doshun survived, and went on to start a family of his own.
