  • Before then, Brandon was in a long coma for fifteen years, and when he'd woken up he was in an infirmary, where a girl named Mitsuki told him about what happened. His parents had been in a car accident and died at the scene, he had suffered a massive head injury which resulted in a coma. In Brandon's flashback in Chapter 52, he is shown at the York Ryan's Research Facility and is seen being injected with Chemical X by Mitsuki. This was apparently Brandon's first time at the facility. Mitsuki offers him some tea and some soup, and then welcomes him to his new home at the facility. In Chapter 55, Brandon and Mitsuki had passed through a row of doors, Brandon looked at one of the laboratories on the left (which had clear glass rather than doors), and saw a girl in a white straight jacket and wearing a white electric collar around her neck. The girl had green eyes and brown hair (Bailey). As soon as she'd seen Brandon she'd screamed and kicked wildly. A few of the scientists tried to calm her down, but when that didn't work they injected her with a type of drug. Her screaming turned into soft panting and the scientists took her away. Brandon had asked Mitsuki who the girl was, and Mitsuki responds by saying she's the "Failed Experiment". Brandon had no idea what she meant, but Mitsuki quickly explained that people who do not make it through the training or with the help of the medicine, will go crazy, claim that they can see "ghosts" or "visions of the future". But the people who did make it, like Brandon and herself, will eventually end up having a whole new level of power and will not die from any cause that can kill a human. Brandon asks her what she means by "any cause that can kill a human", Mitsuki explains that they are no longer human, but what the scientists call "patients". Even though Brandon is now free from the YRRF's clutches, he constantly needs Chemical X, a black liquid that he uses for energy as a side effect from being in the YRRF, without it he would become very weak or even die. In his first debut he planned to steal some Chemical X from the museum, but was cut-short by Bee Stars. But in the end, he ended up taken the Chemical X with him. Leaving Bee Stars frustrated. Brandon currently lives in a large mansion where Mitsuki used to live, when he first came to the mansion, he says that all of the maids and servants lived there. He described all of them as being very nice, and sweet to him even when he clearly wasn't the most kindest guest. He'd never wanted to see any of them come back to Mitsuki's house after her passing, ever again, not with the memory of her in those people. So he had them fired, which left him alone.
