- Drag Races are essentially very straight and narrow Air Ride courses, and the objective is to simply finish first. There are opportunities to KO opponents before they reach the finish line, as Copy Chance Wheels appear on the path, but these do not arise often and is often not desirable unless using the Shadow Star or Hydra in particular.
- Drag Race is an adventure seed contained in the Star Wars Gamemaster Screen. A group of spacers are forced to race for ownership of their starship. Possible alternate storylines that could be adapted by a gamemaster were also included. It was written by Bill Olmesdahl.
- Drag Race Competition comprises a single event open to single-staged entries. The purpose of this competition is to determine which entry is most successful at meeting the triple criteria of quick ignition and lift-off, low altitude, and long duration.
- A Drag race is an event in Real Racing 3 where the player must manage their transmission for three rounds of flat-out quarter mile sprints. The player must tap the "launch" button once the round is signalled to begin, or the light turns green. If the player launches the car before any round begins, it will count as a False Start. Three false starts all together will result in disqualification from the race.

If the player shifts at the correct time, it's a perfect shift. If the player however, shifts too early or too late (when in redline) it's an early shift and a late shift, respectively. As players will be driving in a straight line, it's ideal that players choose cars that have good acceleration and top speed as characteristics such as braking and grip do not actually matter.
