Caber: 5 so far, so I only need 3 more. Jasmine: Well, then, I accept your challenge. Let's head for the Gym now. Jasmine: Your giant friend'll have to wait out here, I'm afraid. Which means the only Pokémon that could be a match for them would be Charizard. Sugar: Aw, Caber'll think of something. I know it. Polly: Yeah! Jasmine: This match'll be a 3-on-3 battle, and it'll be over when all Pokémon from either side are unable to battle. Only you can make substitutions. Caber: (nods) Understood, ma'am. Jasmine: (brings out a Poké Ball) Then let the battle begin! Go, Magneton! Magneton: (appears) Magneton! Caber: (brings out a Poké Ball) Go, Vibrava! Vibrava: (appears) Vibrava! Joel: Ah. Since Magneton's part Electric-type, Caber's going with Vibrava due to her being part Ground-type. Smart move. Sugar and Polly: (in unison) You can do it, Vibrava! Joel: Not bad. Jasmine: (returns Magneton) Interesting strategy you had there. Caber: (returns Vibrava) Well, I know that being part Dragon-type wouldn't be much good against a Steel-type. But I knew that being part Ground-type would help Vibrava against an Electric-type like Magneton. Jasmine: (brings out another Poké Ball) Not bad, but let's how you go with this one. Go, Skarmory! Caber: (brings out another Poké Ball) It's risky, but let's see what it plays out. Go, Tyrantrum! Tyrantrum: (appears) Tyrantrum! Joel: Tyrantrum? Well, sure being a Rock-type is resistant to Flying-types, but I really question Caber's decision on this one. Sugar: Aw, don't be such a Doubty McDoubterson. Joel: (confused) Say what? Joel: Whoa... Jasmine: (returns Skarmory) That was a risky move, using a Rock-type like you did. Caber: (returns Tyrantrum) Yeah, well, I had Tyrantrum learn those other moves to get around some of his type disadvantages. Jasmine: (brings out another Poké Ball) So I've seen. Well, let's see how you'll deal with my partner. Go, Steelix! Polly: Wow! That's really big. Sugar: I'll say. Caber: (brings out another Poké Ball) Let's do it, buddy. Go, Charizard! Joel: That's right. Being a Fire and Flying-type, Charizard should have the advantage against Steelix, who's a Steel and Ground-type. Sugar: Yay!!! Polly: He did it!!! Joel: Well, that was quite a battle between two titans. Jasmine: (returns Steelix) Well, Caber, that was an impressive battle. Caber: (returns Charizard) Thanks, but you're no slouch yourself. Jasmine: (hands him the Mineral Badge) Well, here. The Mineral Badge, as proof that you triumphed at the Olivine City Gym. Caber: (accepts the Badge) Thanks, ma'am. I'll keep getting better. Sugar: Congratulations, Caber! Polly: You and Charizard were awesome! Joel: Now you have 2 Badges left to get. Caber: Thanks, you guys. Jasmine: Well I believe your next stop showed be in Mahogany Town, where you'll find Pryce. But he'll be a challenge since he uses Ice-Types. And half your Pokémon are all Dragon-types. Caber: (shudders a bit but stops) Yeah, well, I won't let a little cold keep me from doing what I have to do. Jasmine: (smiles) That's the spirit.
