- Though Lone Wolf's career in New Way Wrestling was short lived, he is remembered for discovering Insomnia (Then known as 'Harpsichord') and convincing him to join NWW's ranks after meeting and sparring with the latter in a local gym. In his short time with NWW he had a brief TV title stint before suffering a horrendus injury against ironically the man he'd discovered and help guide through the ranks of NWW; Insomnia. From then on, Lone Wolf himself was only seen once, showing up to put his name down for the cruiserweight invitational match Aftershock was holding at that time.
- The Lone Wolf was a skilled cracksman and jewel thief, who eventually reforms and becomes a detective. Born around 1888-1889, the man who later became Michael Lanyard was found wandering in Paris when he was only 4-5 years old by an Irish criminal named Bourke. - Lone Wolf is a MOD that can be collected in Metroid Prime: Federation Force. It is only available in single player mode, and cannot be used when playing co-op games. When used, this MOD increases damage dealt to enemies and decreases damage to Mechs. This gives an advantage as the Campaign becomes more difficult if played alone. The MOD is "unbreakable", meaning it is permanent and can be reused. Each mission has a points bonus if the Lone Wolf MOD is not used, but it is still possible to get all three score medals with Lone Wolf equipped in some missions, if the target time and bonus objective for the mission are met.

His adventures took place in New York and throughout Europe. In the 1919 film, The False Faces, a man named Karl Ekstrom, aka Ekstrom, the Hun (played by Lon Chaney) , orders the wartime execution of Lanyard's beloved sister with whom he was living at the time. Lanyard vows revenge against Ekstrom, As Lanyard states, "When I stood over her grave I dedicated my life to the extermination of Ekstrom and all of his breed." He pursues Ekstrom as the latter attempts to retrieve secret documents stolen from the Germans for Allied Intelligence.

As Lanyard states, "When I stood over her grave I dedicated my life to the extermination of Ekstrom and all of his breed."

Machiavellian machinations, gunplay, chases, trickery, and corrupt motives are all present in quantity in this one, making most of a the book an action romp. It's a lot of fun to read, the only real complaint being that it tells very little about the setting itself. In the larger picture, it can be utterly forgotten. But it shouldn't be. Rich Larson is an undercover Lone Star operative caught in the middle of a conspiracy. He's about to blow his deep cover in an explosively violent street gang and his "friends" at the agency have hung him out to dry, leaving him with only one option…payback.

In his short time with NWW he had a brief TV title stint before suffering a horrendus injury against ironically the man he'd discovered and help guide through the ranks of NWW; Insomnia. The injury came during the infamous 'no holds barred, two out of three falls tables ladders and chairs bonanza' match between Lone Wolf, Insomnia (Harpsichord) and Danny Richards. Barely able to move via his own free will after taking a series of heavy shots from Insomnia, he was placed and sandwiched between a steel ladder, before Insomnia lept from the top rope, crushing Lone Wolf with a variation of his then scarcely known 'Raining Murder'. From then on, Lone Wolf himself was only seen once, showing up to put his name down for the cruiserweight invitational match Aftershock was holding at that time. Unfortunately, Lone Wolf had suffered a recurrence of the back injury that had seen him on the sidelines for almost a year just days prior, and sadly Lone Wolf was never seen again.

Each book in the series can be read/played separately, but they are designed in such a way that knowledge and items obtained in an earlier book can be carried over and used in the later ones. Each book has a unique player's objective, but the plot carries on chronologically where the previous book ends. Although the series ceased publication between 1998 and 2007, a dedicated fan base established Project Aon in 1999 and have subsequently converted many of the books to HTML format. Joe Dever gave his permission for free distribution of the books online via the internet. Subsequently, there has been a strong revival of interest in Lone Wolf, particularly in Italy, Spain, and France where the books were republished between 2002-2006. Several adaptations now exist of the Lone Wolf series, including a D20-style Role-Playing Game published by Mongoose Publishing Ltd UK, the company which also plans to republish the original Lone Wolf series, beginning in the summer of 2007. A computer game and a mobile phone game are currently in production for release in early 2008. Lone Wolf was notable as a gamebook series because it was the first one of its type (other than the notable Grailquest gamebooks) where the reader played a single character who grew more and more advanced over the course of the series. It was the first role-playing mega-campaign, and it has had a hugely influential effect upon the design of first-person fantasy computer games and MMO's (Massively Multi-player Online games) of recent years.
