(DS9: "A Man Alone") The scene featuring Jake and Nog's use of the Garanian bolites was originally to be featured in "Emissary" but, like other aspects of the pilot episode, were removed from the pilot's script and placed in the script of "A Man Alone" instead. (The Making of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) The script described the Bolites as "tiny alien critters".
