In the story, Spook finally left his home when he heard his friends had been caught by a predator. Daring even to cross the bright gold and silver mineral fields despite his dark coat, Spook ultimately saved his friends through a combination of courage and ingenuity. Appearing in numerous print versions and remaining a perennial bestseller, A Brave Little Vizh-Vizh was a popular story among Kasci children, and favored by Kasci parents as it introduced children to the concept of moving beyond their comfort zones and having the courage to try new things. It was Terra Zaffrod's favorite bedtime story when she was a young girl.
