| abstract | - Some episodes of Pokémon have been banned from the original lineup of episodes. A total of seven episodes are banned from Japan or the US as of now. The never seen before episodes were withdrawn from airing due to the natural disasters in real world Japan. The 4Kids Entertainment episodes and Episode 38 were withdrawn due to offensive stereotypes, lightning problems, or inappropriate content that 4Kids believed, like United Artists, the owners of the banned Looney Tunes shorts, that no amount of selective editing could ever make these acceptable for distribution on TV. Those episodes are however, remastered for DVD release, while the AG101, BW023 and BW024, and Original Episode 38 have never seen a DVD release.
- There are hundreds of episodes of the Pokémon anime, however, for various reasons, some have been taken out of the rotation of episodes in reruns in some countries by some TV stations.
