| abstract | - Thomas North was a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Division Homicide Unit in he mid-1990s. Previous to working with Pacific Division Homicide, North worked for six years in the Devonshire Burglary Unit under Harvey Pounds, though he thought little of the lieutenant. In April of 1994, North encountered LAPD detective Harry Bosch at the Department's Evidence Storage Division.
