- "Why should I believe you're truly a Lannister?"
- "Kevan is lord of the Westerlands and Hand of the King. Do you think to overthrow him?"
- "I hope he will accept me as his son," Nyall says. "I'm a proven war leader with an army, not a grovelling fanatic. He should be proud to call me his."
- "I will back your claim. Jaime and Lancel have both renounced House Lannister."
- "Lord Tywin was a strong lord, but his children? Incest... regicide... kinslaying... And Lancel is a shave-headed priest. Who is supposed to rule?"
- "I will have to know your plan for how you intend to conquer the Westerlands."
- "I am the son of Kevan Lannister," Nyall says. "And unlike my half-brother, I am no Sparrow. I'm ready to press my claim to the Westerlands."
