  • The Baby Face's Blaster is a primary weapon for the Scout. It is a short, but slightly modified lever-action shotgun with a wooden handle and single barrel. Equipping this weapon adds a boost meter in the bottom left corner of the screen. You spawn with it empty, which makes you run 10% slower than a Scout with the Scattergun. For every point of damage you do, you add a minimum of 5% to your boost meter. After doing 100 damage, you are at maximum boost, which is 173% of the normal movement speed. The boost meter decreases by 25% if you jump in mid air, causing the Scout to lose momentum, ground jumps will not reset the boost meter. After drinking the Crit-a-Cola you are only 1% faster at full boost meter than you would be without the drink effects, though the mini-crits remain unchanged.

It has a 34% smaller clip size, reducing it to 4 making it better to ambush quickly with intent to kill or retreat after attacking. On double jumps the boost is reduced by 25%, so equipping this with the Atomizer will result in a 50% lost of boost per triple jump since 25% + 25% is 50%. All boost is lost on death.
