After this, Willie freed Tails underwater, allowing the fox to surface and take Claws down. Willie bombarded Claws with cold-themed puns until Claws was taken away by the police.

The fox was searching for Claws, a criminal from the Polarzone. Suspecting something would go wrong, Tails enlisted Waddle to wait by the waters and come to his aid should anything happen. Sure enough, Tails was tied to a sinking ice floe and would have drowned and Waddle not swam up and untied him. To make things worse for Claws, Willie unleashed a barrage of "snow" puns to reinforce the bear's misery.
