  • Matthew Paul Walsh (born October 13, 1964) is an American actor, writer and comedian. Walsh was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended Hinsdale South High School, Northern Illinois University, and spent a year in Austria at Salzburg College. Along with Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, and Ian Roberts, he is a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade improv comedy troupe and played "Trotter" in the troupe's sketch comedy series, which ran for three seasons on Comedy Central. After the success of their tv series, the UCB comedy foursome went on to found two successful Upright Citizens Brigade comedy theaters located in New York and Los Angeles. For the last 10 years, the highly successful UCB Comedy venues have been the home to some of the most daring and innovative live comedy NYC and LA has to offer. Besides his work with the Upright Citizens Brigade, he has also had memorable appearances in many popular comedy films over the last several years, for example, Old School.
