| abstract | - Ron Shephard is a former NASCAR driver from Vestal, NY. He competed in three Sprint Cup Series events in his career. Shephard's debut came in 1986, when he competed at Richmond. Starting last (29th) in the field, Shephard completed most of the race but late overheating woes left Shephard a disappointing 27th. Shephard also struggled in his two 1987 starts, beginning the year off at Dover. Starting last (39th) in the field, last is where Shephard would finish after early engine failure. Things were only marginally better for Shepherd in his final race, competing at Pocono. Despite earning a career-best 21st place finish there, Shephard crashed out late and hate another DNF.
