- Comedy Central is the American television station that aired the four straight-to-DVD Futurama from 2008 to 2009 before ordering to be aired during the 2010-2011 season. Comedy Central is the first network to apply a generic TV-14 rating to every episode meaning there are no sub ratings, this is also done for the sitcom Scrubs.

Several of their programs feature bears, and one of their key shows features Jon Stewart, who of course, spent his time on Stephen's On Notice. However, their lineup isn't all filth. Comedy Central also runs The Colbert Report & reruns of MADtv. Upon first glance, it would seem as if this liberal channel is trying to branch out to the right audience. However, The Colbert Report runs at 11:30pm which is after any America loving, God-Fearing man's bedtime. So obviously, Comedy Central was so swayed by Stephen Colbert's dashing good looks, enormous balls, and rock hard ass, that they hired him without reviewing the c

MST3K was one of the few shows on either network to survive the transition, and so the executives of the newly formed company signed the show to a three year contract for twenty-four episodes each year. Comedy Central and Best Brains formed a solid partnership during these years, primarily because MST3K brought in good ratings and became one of Comedy Central's signature shows. It was during this period that the two camps made the informal agreement that first season episodes would no longer be rerun, as Best Brains believed them to be grossly inferior in quality to the show's later seasons.
