  • Blatching is a common Quidditch foul that consistes of flying towards another player with deliberate intention to collide with him or her. This foul can be committed by all players. In the final of the 1994 Quidditch World Cup, Vasily Dimitrov flew directly towards Moran and almost knocked her off her broom; the referee, Hassan Mostafa, awarded the Irish team a penalty; in a Quidditch match in 1996, Harper, the Substitute Slytherin Seeker, comitted this foul when he collided with Harry. However, Madam Hooch, the referee, did not see him do this and the Slytherin team was not penalised.
