| abstract | - The Unknown Nightblade, also known simply as Nightblade, was a mysterious figure that existed at least ten years before the Invasion of Utapau. He was known to have the appearance of some type of shaman or an ancient tribal leader. He recruited Jango Fett on one of the moons of Bogden to be the genetic basis for an army of clones being created on Kamino for the Galactic Republic. He later brought Jango to Kamino, but it was unknown if they had any further contact with him after that point. The identity of Nightblade was unknown, though there were some possibilities. When Jango told him about the encounter on Bogden, Jedi Master Mace Windy suspected that he was either Damien Nightblade himself, a former Jedi Grandmaster who disappeared shortly after the Great Territorial War nearly four thousand years prior, or a descendant of his, as Mace found it highly unlikely that Damien Nightblade was still alive after four millennia. Despite this speculation, his true identity continued to remain unknown. All that was known was that he was a male of roughly Human proportions.
