Born to a Corellian mother and an Ekster father, Brion was not accepted by his pure Corellian 'family' or peers. His father died not long after his birth, leaving his mother to try and raise the boy on her own. Unable to support them, she turned to her brother, Brion's uncle, who took them in, although he treated them as little more than endentured servants. At the age of 8, Brions mother also died, leaving him both an orphan and in the care of his continually more abusive uncle. At the age of 10, his uncle enrolled him in a 'school for young men', where he was to be taught Corellian ways and traditions. The other students did not take kindly to one of impure blood walking among them, and made sure he knew it, with frequent, brutal beatings. It was perhaps during these years that a fierce survival instinct as well as the need to look after self first was born in Brion. Just before his graduation, while enduring a particularly nasty beating, Brion snapped, accessing the Dark Side of the Force. The boys who had been responsible for his own injuries were soon dead. Leaving the school before the crime could be found, he returned home only long enough to exact vengeance on his uncle and gather his belongings, before fleeing once more. Eventually, he realized he wasn't just running from, he was running to something. That something was Montu Codru, the Sith, and the power and opportunities they presented.Family
