  • Ken Penders is an American comic book creator and writer. He makes his living as a shitty ass freelance writer and artist, accepting assignments involving screenplays, storyboards, character design, backgrounds, website graphics, and some the magazine covers, portraits or commissioned work. He made The Lara-Su Chronicles and was the worst Comic ever. He likes to sue people for no good reason at all.
  • He worked on a story with Mark Lenard titled "The Lessons of Life" that was conceived in early 1993. The idea was presented to Greenberger with the idea of tying it in to the Pocket Books hardcover release of Sarek. The intent was to release the comic story as a prestige format edition and Greenberger would edit it himself. When Greenberger was replaced by Alan Gold on the Star Trek line, the project was essentially killed, forcing Penders and Lenard to shelve the project. By the time Marvel Comics took over the license, Lenard had died of pneumonia while being treated for cancer, so Penders submitted the story and idea to Tim Tuohy for consideration, but Marvel canceled the line before any progress could be made.[2] [3]
  • Making his debut in StH #11, Ken was one of the many creatives that defined the early Archie Sonic universe, focusing particularly on Knuckles the Echidna and The Chaotix. While best known as a writer, Ken was also involved in nearly every aspect of the comic, regularly contributing art and being the only person to have ever filled every non-editorial role in the creation of a story (StH: #93) in the history of the series. He officially stopped working on Archie's Sonic series prior to the release of StH #159, with his final contribution (as Inker and Letterer) appearing in StH #169.

Ken currently resides with his family in San Fernando Valley, California.

Ken is well known for his legal disputes with Archie Comics and SEGA, his grievances with the former being one of the key causes behind the series' 2013 reboot. All characters created by Ken or directly inspired by his stories have since been excluded from the series.
