This includes; Pattern includes a transfer design for each quilt (you stamp the transfer for the patch pieces on cardboard, then cut the required number of pieces using the cardboard pattern.) A printed tissue pattern is also included for the quilting blocks and border. The quilting design should be traced on your material using carbon paper, or if desired, a perforated pattern can be made on the sewing machine (directions given in pattern). Complete directions for quilting are given in the pattern as well as directions for making each quilt. Quilt A is as colorful and beautiful as the Dresden plate from which it takes its name, this quilt is one of the loveliest of the old patterns. Friendship Circle is another name often applied to this favorite. The finished blocks are 17 x 17 inches, and quilts in several sizes can be made. Quilt B, the Fan Design, is another lovely old quilt for the modern quilt makers. It's unusual and very charming. With this design you can repeat the color scheme in each fan, or make each fan different. The striped effect of the border forms an effective finish. A pattern is given for the quilting design shown on the fan and the alternate blocks. Each block measures when finished 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches.
