He gets more involved with his half-sister, Rebecca, and it's only when he finds out that he she might not be his sister that he acknowledges that he might have feelings for her. Once she tells him that he isn't, he's not entirely sure what to do with the information and leaves her, winding up at Canyon Ridge, instead.
