The Emperor also selected Grand Admiral Madrek to command the First Defense Fleet, a formation tasked with the defense of the capital, Dromund Kaas. As a result, Madrek did not see any action during the remainder of the Great Galactic War, or during the Cold War. As the commander of the First Defense Fleet, he led his forces from the Aggressor, a Harrower-class dreadnaught. Madrek's trusted right hand man became Commander Xerxes.
