  • The Gaza-Jericho Agreement of 4 May 1994 was a follow-up treaty to the Oslo Accords in which the details of Palestinian autonomy were concluded. The Treaty provided for Palestinian self-rule in the West Bank and Gaza Strip within five years. Implementation of the Treaty was thwarted by the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin and the subsequent refusal of his successor Benjamin Netanyahu to withdraw Israeli troops from any part of Occupied Palestinian Territory.
