  • George William Tallents (1856 - 17 December 1924) was a barrister and local politician. The fourth son of Geoffrey Tallents, a Nottinghamshire solicitor, he won a scholarship to Harrow School. He subsequently attended the University of Oxford and was called to the bar at Lincoln's Inn in 1882. He was an alderman on Westminster City Council, and twice served as Mayor of Westminster in 1906-07 and 1918-19.
