| abstract | - It is known that the ancient scriptures were written and put together by saiyan warriors from an era long past. They were extremely valuable scrolls which not only revealed the truth about a saiyan's biology and potentiality, but also illustrated in complete and meticulous detail exactly what requirements must be met for a saiyan to transform into a super saiyan. A component of the scriptures were held by Vegeta, which he used to ascend to the state of a super saiyan in secrecy at a young age. Many of the scriptures and their contents were lost to history as they were destroyed along with planet vegeta. Vegeta assumes that the scriptures foretold of the greater forms of super saiyan that were eventually discovered, and even the requirements to reach levels such as the super saiyan god forms. Though valuable beyond measure, the royal family considered the ancient scriptures incredibly dangerous, thus all proof of their existence was hidden from society, locked away beneath palace vegeta in a vault of immense security. King vegeta believed that if the existence of the scriptures and their contents was leaked to the public, it would be result in a catastrophe unlike anything the saiyan race had ever bore witness to previously, as he feared the greed and lust for power that dominates his peoples hearts and minds would lead them to all lust after the scriptures, triggering a civil war on planet vegeta. Not only that, but the scrolls would have surely been annihilated and erased from existence should frieza have learned of their existence. As a result, the only person that king vegeta trusted with the a piece of the scriptures was his own son, prince vegeta, who through aid of the scriptures was able to achieve the state of super saiyan at an extremely young age.
