Biography
  • Eddie Goodson is a former NASCAR driver from Darlington, SC. He competed in eight Nationwide Series events in his career. Goodson's debut came in 1991, when he competed at Myrtle Beach. It was a tough night for the driver, starting 18th but crashing out on the eighth lap to finish 31st. He fared little better at Rougemont later in the year, blowing an engine to finish 26th. Goodson then only competed in one 1992 event, racing again at Myrtle Beach. This time, however, Goodson found some moderate success. Completing all but one lap in the race, Goodson kept his nose clean and brought home a career-best 14th place finish. Following that, Goodson competed in his final five career races in 1993, finishing a career-best 54th in the year-end rankings. Still, quantity did not equal quality for Goodson as he once again struggled in races. After finishing a season-best 23rd to start the year off at Richmond, Goodson failed to finish a single race for the rest of the year. His best run during that tough stretch was just a 24th at Rougemont in May and, with a 28th place finish in the October Rougemont race, ended his career. External Links *Stats
