| abstract | - Sir Wigend du Blackthorne was feuding with his neighbor, Sir Aetheling the Red, when Aetheling offered an olive branch in the form of a jousting tournament. Blackthorne agreed, but fortune put him in the path of time-displaced Decepticons, with whom he formed an alliance. The tournament did not go well for Blackthorne, even though he tried to fix the contest with ringers Ramjet and Rumble. When Starscream took Aetheling's daughter Nimue hostage and took over his castle, Blackthorne visited Nimue to tell her of his change of heart, both his allegiance and his feelings for her. Nimue gladly accepted his offer of marriage. As Aetheling's forces attacked to retrieve Nimue, Blackthorne tried to enter the fight, but was tossed over the battlements by his traitorous subject, Sir Wulf. Blackthorne joined Aetheling, and the battle was won by the Autobots Hoist and Warpath. Blackthorne was there to bid the Transformers goodbye as they returned to their own time.
