| abstract | - The October 24th New Harmony Mutiny was a rebellion by troops from the UNSC Army garrison in the city of New Harmony, Mars in reaction to the ongoing battle between the Boundary Republic and United Nations Space Command on the colony of Boundary. Incited by Staff Sergeant Samuel Roion, a Boundary native, he and about thirty other UNSC Army personnel, mostly refugees from the Outer Colonies, started a violent battle in an attempt to cause a much larger rebellion. Stealing two of the four fully armed and ready LAV-51's from the armory, the thirty began heading for New Harmony's local administration, wreaking havoc on the New Harmony Police Department as the latter attempted to stop them. The rest of the UNSC Army garrison was quickly mobilized, and a violent shootout ensued on I-34, one of the highways leading into the city. Eventually, Roion and several of his cohorts were arrested, tried, and executed for treason. While the mutiny failed to start a larger rebellion, it did cause the UNSC to take measures to end the campaign against the Boundary Republic so that it would no longer be in the center of the public eye.
