  • Elin Xerol is a man with a dark and interesting history in intelligence circles. He's known to be a former member of the Inquisitorius and one of the first Inquisitors implemented by Palpatine, but little of his work during that time is documented. When the Empire lost Palpatine and Vader at the Battle of Endor, Xerol gave up his Inquisitor status and assumed a captainship of an Imperial Mark II, renaming the ship, appropriately enough, Inquisitor. Like many of his decisions, he gave no explanation for his willful diminishment of status, but any doubts as to his abilities were soon quieted as he proved to be an effective, if merciless commander. He didn’t kill his subordinates as Vader tended to do, but to his enemies he showed absolutely no leniency.

Among the ISS of Gandel and Damascus, the Inquisitor was something of a curse. Whether through accident or contrived happenings, no ISS agent who attempted to infiltrate the crew ever survived long. Either they disappeared or something ended up killing them off. In every instance, not one shred of evidence could be tied to the crew or their captain. When Dolomar Daktren had been looking for the right ships to add to his expanded task force, Xerol volunteered his ship and practically demanded to be part of Daktren’s effort to clean up the Empire. Despite some initial reservations on Daktren’s part, Xerol proved to be a faithful and invaluable part of the task force. Xerol provided the necessary edge to Daktren’s idealistic crusade - the promise to Daktren’s threat. Together, the two proved to be an extremely effective team, as their dismantling of the ISS could attest. Xerol soon became one of Daktren's most trusted officers and stayed with him when Daktren was made the new Central Commander of the Imperial Security Bureau. Xerol became a General in the ISB and was put in charge of the Investigations division of the organization, with the same task of rooting out corruption in the Empire that he had before. His skills were put to the test as the War of Darkness escalated and he became responsible for finding and eliminating Cult of Shadow infiltrators. His ship, the Inquisitor, was eventually lost at the Battle of Alsakan while fighting against the Charon, but Xerol managed to survive. He currently commands an Interdictor-class Star Destroyer known as the Trenchant and continues to search out traitorous elements within the Empire.
