  • The Thing, also known as The Thing From Another World, is a shape-shifting creature that crash-landed upon Earth roughly 100,000 years ago. It was frozen in the ice of Antarctica and accidentally freed by the crew of Norway's Thule Research Station, which it proceeded to attack and destroy in 1982. The Thing was forced to move onto America's U.S. Outpost North #31 to continue its attempts to escape to the mainland. This creature has the ability to absorb and copy the DNA of any life-form it consumes, allowing it to take on its appearance, memories, and mannerisms.

  • The Thing is a very deadly extraterrestrial organism, which has the ability to imitate virtually any life form. It does not appear to have a default form, instead constantly swapping from one imitation to another. It can replicate any organism - plant, animal or human. An old organism, The Thing has a life span of 100,000 years at the very least. Presumably intelligent, The Thing is capable of space flight, traveling in a massive disk shaped flying saucer.
  • The Thing byl založen hráči M-Scottie a Phillipson 15. • This was originally intended to be in pitch darkness, with just the tentacles visible. It was very Lovecraft inspired, even the name - it's called The Thing because it's simply unspeakable! In the end, it was just cute, and vomits up Thingies, which are cuter still. The Thing is very Kermit-like in appearance. Have you noticed that the tentacles are vogue-ing? That was unplanned, I really wanted them to be flailing more like tentacles, but still, seeing a huge horror doing the Vogue is rather unique.

abstract
  • The Thing byl založen hráči M-Scottie a Phillipson 15. Bohužel nás opustili Phillipson, Forkmen a jiní. Rychlý vývin nových členů však brzy zaplní vzniklé mezery a guilda bude opět svorná a silná jako dříve. Guilda začíná po dlouhé době opět posilovat. Nové přírůstky do našich řad posilují naši guildu. Takže 3 padocky a 3 domy. Průměrný lvl v guildě 115 a 43 členů. 3x lvl 190+ v guildě a oslava lvlu 45! Po několika rozepřích jsem byl nucen vyloučit z guildy téměř všechny členy a posléze nabíráme jen opravdu aktivní s chutí hrát jako týmoví hráči. K dnešnímu dni je nás 28 :(

  • The Thing is a very deadly extraterrestrial organism, which has the ability to imitate virtually any life form. It does not appear to have a default form, instead constantly swapping from one imitation to another. It can replicate any organism - plant, animal or human. In order to replicate an organism, The Thing needs to be alone and in close proximity to its subject. Even a small part of it is enough to take over an entire organism. It will send tentacles out from its body to wrap and ensnare its victims. Using these tentacles it will then absorb the target organism, and slowly shape its cells to imitate them perfectly. Of course, this is very worrying as anybody could be The Thing, and it would be nearly impossible to tell merely from observation. This situation leads to trust being rapid eroded. One of the few ways to identify The Thing is by taking a blood serum test. Blood from the subject is mixed with with uncontaminated blood and heated. If there is an obvious reaction (the alien blood cells will attempt to escape the heat), you will know that the subject is not what they appear to be. Very resilient in nature, every cell of The Thing appears to be able to operate on its own. Each part of The Thing is an organism in itself; every part is a whole, and every little piece is an animal. The creature's head may be severed, but it may simply grow legs and/or other appendages and act as a separate organism. Limbs, organs, eyes, mouths, etc can be formed at any point on The Thing's body. The Thing is most obviously alien when it is in the process of absorbing and imitating another organism. During this transformation period, its body collapses into a random, mutagenic state. Skin and flesh bursts or rips open. Insectoid legs grow and tentacles lash out. Hair sheds as the bloody malformed body grows limbs, eyes, mouths, etc in weird, seemingly random places. However, after this period is over, The Thing will be a perfect imitation of its chosen target organism. As a species, The Thing is very tough - cellular activity (potential life) can continue to linger in the remains of an imitated organism for a time even after its death. The Thing hides inside imitations, but one exposed as alien, it is vulnerable. Though it is strong even in the form of an imitated organism (it is powerful enough to force its fingers through human skin), it can be killed using fire and extreme temperatures. An old organism, The Thing has a life span of 100,000 years at the very least. Presumably intelligent, The Thing is capable of space flight, traveling in a massive disk shaped flying saucer.

Mr. Big describes the thing to our plucky heroine, but she is not satisfied, stating that his description was way too vague. She is about to leave, confused as ever, when Leslie walks in and says she has the mind control ready. Mr. Big realized that the ray was not affecting Word Girl because it was in the wrong setting, and he was about to reset it when Word Girl was able to disable it. As soon as it was shut down, all the citizens in the city stop fighting over the Thing, throwing them out. It is shown that the Thing is pretty worthless, although one of Mr. Big's rivals made a product very similar to it called "The Mega-Object", and it sold out in eight minutes flat without use of mind control. Mr. Big also made a product called the Mega-Thing, which is just a bigger version of the Thing, but Word Girl stopped him before it could be sold in stores.
