Synopsis
  • After Lois and Lana come upon one of Superman’s projector slides depicting him giving an engagement ring to a woman called Lana Lane in 1959 who looks like a combination of both of them, they ask him to explain. He uses mento-helmets on both of them, which causes them to remember an adventure they shared in a remote valley colonized briefly by aliens. There, a sorceress’s necklace caused both of them to merge into one woman, whom Superman called “Lana Lane”. Superman was so attracted to the merged woman that he proposed marriage, and was accepted. However, Lana Lane soon split back into both Lana and Lois, and one of the aliens informed Superman that one would soon die due to the side-effects of the merging. Thankfully, Superman prevented this from happening, but the radiations of the mineral he used to cure them wiped the memory of the event from their minds...and Superman did not choose to marry either of them.
  • When he overhears Lois Lane saying she would sell her soul to the Devil for the chance to marry Superman, the Man of Steel decides to teach her a lesson by impersonating the Devil and pretending to give her such a choice.
  • Lois Lane is taken by spaceship to the planet Soomar, where she meets and briefly substitutes for reporter Crystal Ganyrog, who is pursued by that planet’s hero, Super-Male.
