| abstract | - The Whitecloud Tribe are a tribe of all-white Tauren originating from the Stonetalon Mountains. They have strict mating rules to preserve their white pelts in their offspring and have even been accused of inbreeding in the past to keep to this tradition. Many Whiteclouds serve as Wardens in Nighthaven and the most famous of them is probably Verdauga Whitecloud. They lived alongside their counterparts the Blackclouds/Darkclouds for many centuries until a war broke out between the two tribes and scattered the Whiteclouds across Kalimdor as nomads. A Whitecloud is distinguishable by its white pelt though not all white Tauren are of that tribe, many other white pelts are of the Winterhoof tribe or others. It is likely that many Taunka are ancestors of Whitecloud Tauren.
