  • This is my first Uncyclopedia article, and it's a continuation of the Jefferson Airplane/Starship parodies... It's not exactly in line with the other two articles, but it still fits for the most part. KS8 08:29, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

  • The concept is a good one, but the article isn't as well thought out as this could have been. It lacks structure. A suggestion is to look at old featured articles and re-reading How To Be Funny And Not Just Stupid, try figure out a style suitable for you, and going with that.

  • [Chants] "Spelling and grammar, spelling and grammar, spelling and..." Oh, we're not at the Secret Comma Brigade lodge... Nevermind that. Alright, when writing an article, it takes only an extra two to five minutes to run the text through a spell checker, use the preview, or even ask a friend to proofread it. or then you can ask one of our brave Comma Brigade Spellcheckers to proofread it. Uncyclopedia's brave proofreaders will have a look at it if you put on your article page. Also, right now it's stylewise more like a rant than an article. "After the coup against Paul, the Jefferson Starship shortened its name to just Starship, so they would be more forgettable and people would just look over the group murder against Kantner." is just... Well, the eyes get tired of reading it, and it takes a couple of tries to try figure out what you're saying. Spelling mistakes and bad grammar are funny only when intentional and the writer can motivate the choice. If it is unintentional or not well thought out, it's not funny.

  • The attempt at being funny with the aid of images isn't that bad. The caption on the first image is the one that bothers me, since the sentence never finishes, and the other one's gag is a bit too obvious. Subtle is sometimes the better way to go. The basic idea is good, though.

  • This seems like a hard concept, but I give you an extra 0,5 for trying to write an article about something quite tricky. When the subject of an article isn't a concrete item or phenomenon, one must make sure that the concept is something that can be grasped without prior knowledge about the subject. If there is a gag in the article, I missed it. And if I miss it, it's bad... .

  • To be honest, this article did make me smirk, but not laugh hysterically or make me want to roll off the chair. An article should be funny for both those familiar with the cultural references as well as those who just stumble upon the page. I fall into the latter category.

  • For a first article, this isn't bad, don't get me wrong on that. It's just not quite as funny as it could have been. I'm a beginner myself, but I can at least tell what is regarded as "funny" or "not funny". I'd put a little extra effort into spelling and formatting for starters if I were you, and I suspect your articles could benefit from being previewed a couple of times before posting. A suggestion is also to add a tag to the article and work with it for a little while longer and then resubmit it for a pee review.
