It was summoned by the evil Portal Master, Kaos, to prevent the Skylanders from saving the Ancient Terrasquid who was in the process of being evilized. Throughout the level of the Twisty Tunnels, the Fire Viper menaced the Skylanders by attempting to blast them with fireballs, but the heroes managed to save the Terrasquid regardless. The Fire Viper then attacked the Skylander at the top of Serpent's Peak, a battle in which the Skylanders emerged victorious.
