  • Imperial Asylum for the Insane and Feeble-minded
rdfs:comment
  • In mid-1995, the Imperial Asylum for the Insane and Feeble-minded opened in Victoria, North American Union. It was more commonly known as the "Yellow Brick" for its yellow brick facade. Colonel Thomas Bushell was surprised to see it when he arrived in the city in September of that year, during his investigation into the theft of The Two Georges, as he had not noticed it when he had been there a few months earlier, nor had he heard anything about it. Captain John Martin explained its background and that it had already entered the vocabulary of the locals. He said that someone might say "'Send him to the 'Yellow Brick' if he thinks a chap's boiler isn't at full pressure."
