It is given to the player in Opelucid City, in Black 2 and White 2, where Drayden, the Gym Leader, gives it to the player. The pin is then stolen by one of the Shadow Triad of Team Plasma. The player fights the Shadow Triad, who states that she/he was actually buying time for the other two to escape with the DNA splicers. In X and Y it is given to the player by a pink haired punk girl in one of the houses in Kiloude City. The player must show her a Kyurem in order to receive the DNA Splicers. In Sun and Moon, talk to an Aether Paradise Grunt to receive one along with the Soul Dew and Prison Bottle.
