I don't bite... over the internet, at least. Sokudo Kumanoi is an interesting ninja of the Kumanoi clan who lives in Konohagakure. He was shown to be a unique shinobi from the academy; however, this gained him the attention of Danzo Shimura. Sure enough, Danzo's intervention prevented Sokudo from becoming a Shinobi for an excessive period of time. Personality Sokudo has an incredible will. Despite Danzo's many indoctrination attempts, he still holds his values firmly. Appearance [data unknown] Swift Release: Shadowless Flight- The iconic technique associated with Swift Release. Sokudo has been shown move at speeds that technically surpass the Flying Thunder God Technique, as he does not take the nanoseconds required to connect to a marker. Sokudo is fully trained to use Water Release, but has yet to display any skills with this power. After learning that his old friend, Hiro Hyuga, had learnt Snake Sage mode, Sokudo poured his heart and soul into proving himself worthy to the Snakes that he could also learn to wield Senjutsu. It took a year, but he eventually achieved this astounding feat. Additionally to this, Sokudo is the only known ninja alive capable of summoning Dragons. Transformation- One of the two E-rank techniques that Sokudo learnt while in the academy was the Transformation technique. He has not used the technique since. Rope Escape Technique- The other E-rank technique that Sokudo learnt in the Academy. Like the Transformation, he has not used this skill since. Substitution- His Sensei taught him this technique. Sokudo has used the technique to dodge attacks on several occasions but seemingly prefers to merely dodge without the use of Ninjutsu. Sokudo has shown skills with Shuriken that are comparable to those of his old friend Hiro Hyuga. Sokudo's parents have yet to be named. After the Kumanoi clan left the Howling Wolf Village due to their wish to become neutral, they settled in a small village on the border of the land of fire and the land of Rivers. It was here that Sokudo was born and raised for the first years of his life. However, tragedy struck this village when it was attacked by a contingent of rogue ninjas that were fleeing Amegakure due to Pain's hostile take-over of that village. While the small village survived, there were still a great many casualties. This event created a contingent of Kumanoi who wished to rejoin the ninja world in order to prevent similar tragedies. Sokudo's parents were among this number, and he was taken with them to Konoha. When he attended the academy at age 5 he was immediately identified by Iruka Umino and Mizuki as being a unique opportunity. At this age, he made friends with Hiro Hyuga. While in the academy, he learned two E-Rank Techniques and learnt the Shadowless Flight using his limited knowledge of his Kekkei Genkai. He learned how to utilize Shuriken and Kunai in the process. Shortly after team 14's Battle Between Comrades, Sokudo was elevated to Genin rank- the only member of his year to do so due to the disrupted teaching that occurred as a result of the Konoha Crush and the Mizuki Tracking arcs. As a result, it was decided that he would wait and train until he could be assigned to a team. This nearly occurred on several occasions, but was prevented either due to Sokudo being incompatible with the team or Danzo's machinations behind the scenes. (Danzo doesn't trust the Kumanoi in the same way as Tobirama didn't trust the Uchiha.) By pure chance, Sokudo was stationed at Konoha's walls when Pain unleashed his village-wide Shinra Tensei. As such, he only took minimal damage and survived. When he awoke, Team 14 had already defeated the Paths of Pain and convened on Nagato's location. He met with the survivors- and the remains of Hiro- and was quick to pledge his allegiance. After he was asked to back up Team Kevin by Shikaku, he did not hesitate to comply with the order. He found Nagato's location with only minor direction, and assisted in persuading Nagato to change his ways.
