  • Oliver Isaac Wood (born 15 March 1976) is a Scottish pure-blood wizard and professional Quidditch Keeper. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1987 to 1994 and was Sorted into Gryffindor house; becoming Keeper and Captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, where he developed quite a reputation for taking the game very seriously and sometimes waking up his players in the middle of the night to discuss strategy with them. During school, Oliver took an instant liking to Quidditch and Flying. He shared a dormitory with Percy Weasley, Terrence Hudson and Blake Fairbourne, and led Gryffindor's Quidditch team to win two Quidditch Cups. After leaving Hogwarts, Oliver joined the Quidditch team Puddlemere United as a reserve Keeper. Oliver was informed of the impending Battle of Hogwarts by his old school Quidditch teammates. He participated in the battle, leading several students of Dumbledore's Army in various aerial attacks on the Death Eaters. He survived the battle and was later seen with Percy Weasley in the courtyard, lamenting over the fact that they were the last two Gryffindors of the Hogwarts Class of 1994. Unfortunately, during the battle Oliver was injured, killing his professional Quidditch career however not prohibiting him from flying. He then took a job as a writer for the Quidditch magazine Weekly Seeker and married Katie Bell, whom he became engaged to in the hours before the Battle of Hogwarts; having a daughter, Evie Holly Wood, and nearly a decade later a son, Joshua Percival Wood.
