For several years, their water-nature affinity proved useless due to a lack of a water source inland causing them to hide and run from other bandit groups hoping to kill them. Within a span of fifty years, they were almost hunted to extinction; the land of water's lineage almost wiped from the face of the earth. However, a single member would learn to use his water-nature affinity and a unique tool to create an array of bubbles to his disposal. Suddenly, this clan were able to fight back, surprising their foes with an unorthodox fighting style. Within a span of fifty years, their bubble techniques conquered the lands until they met another powerful clan sprouting up in the area which led to an inevitable challenge between the Ikiken and the Chiyo. A conflict that lasted five years between the two clans would later almost leave them both on the brink of extinction, until the clan's heirs from each took it upon themselves to fix this endless conflict. They would both reproduce to create a hybrid between the two clan's hoping that it would lead their clan's to peace, which it successfully did. This hybrid would become the reason of the unification of the two clans to form a tribe along with their weakened state. For the remaining years to come, the tribe would grow in numbers and associate themselves with rich landowners who wanted to claim more land. This would lead them to countless numbers of battles against other clans and tribes.
