Synopsis
  • With the defeat of Ares, the gods of Olympus rejoice in their victory. Even Zeus admits that he may have been wrong about the Amazons and declares he will take a greater interest in them, immediately riling the jealiousy of Hera who fears what that interest may entail. The other gods note though that Diana lies dying and plead with Zeus to save her as she is responsible for Ares defeat. Zeus agrees. Hippolyta and her sisters treat Diana, but she is fading away, her spirit as well as her body, mortally wounded by the battle with Ares. At Zeus' command, Poseidon takes her down into the sea and heals her. She emurges with new strength. Back on Olympus, Artemis and Athena find Zeus' new interest suspicious. Hera, once their opponent in this, joins with them. Diana and her mother walk together, Diana expressing her wish to return Man's World as Ares dictated. Hyppolyta fears Ares to be false here and asks the gods their will. She is surprised by an immediate answer from Athena, who tells her Diana must return. Hyppolyta reluctantly agrees, but lays down rules. Back at the military hospital in Boston, Vanessa lays dying of Decay's touch. Wonder Woman arrives with a salve from her home and cures her. The general wants to talk to her, but she demands to see her friends and lern what has become of them. Trevor and Candy have been reassigned, but he summons Julia. Myndi Mayer arrives at Julia's office at Harvard, wanting to become Wonder Woman's publicist, but Julia blows her off. The call from the hospital sends her running to find out what has happened to her daughter. Julia is thrilled to see her daughter well and her friend returned. The general wants to debrief Diana, who does not understand, but agrees to let Julia take her for now. Diana explains her mission and her mother's restrictions. Julia decides maybe Myndi Mayer does have soemthing to offer after all and takes Diana to her. A massive media campaign soon follows and Wonder Woman is launched to stardom, much to the disgruntlement of the military. It also brings Diana to the attention of Barbara Minerva. She wants Diana's magical lasso.
